About Wayne

Hi, I’m Wayne, a software engineer passionate about technology, learning, and sharing.

I’ve lived and worked in Taiwan, Spain, and UAE, leading and contributing to diverse technical teams and projects. From embedded systems to mobile apps, from frontend/backend development to AI systems and SDK architecture, I’ve always embraced new challenges with curiosity and commitment.

This blog is where I organize my thoughts, document my experiments, and share what I’ve learned along the way. I started this blog with a simple motivation, to make sense of what I’ve learned and to help others in the process.

Documenting my experiences has helped me clarify concepts, avoid past mistakes, and deepen my understanding. Writing has become more than a habit, it’s now part of how I grow, reflect, and connect with the developer community.

Career Journey

Over the past decade, I’ve worked across a wide range of domains including AI, payment systems, gambling platforms, super apps, SDK frameworks, warehouse apps, and embedded systems.

In Barcelona, Spain, I led the architecture of a super app platform for football clubs, integrating e-commerce, ticketing, stadium access, membership, and food services, while building an extensible SDK for partner teams.

In Abu Dhabi, UAE, I built an AI-based smart meter digit reader (YOLOv8 + ONNX Runtime) and developed a legal assistant tool powered by RAG.

In Taiwan, I helped multiple companies adopt Scrum, led backend, frontend, and mobile teams, and launched systems from scratch, including e-wallets, bank crawlers, gambling sites, and hospital device management apps.

My roles have spanned from full-stack developer to tech lead and product owner. I believe in writing clean, maintainable code, and building teams that communicate well and deliver reliably.

Academic Background

I hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science from National Central University and a Bachelor’s in Information Management from Shih Chien University.

To broaden my language and cultural exposure, I studied English in Calgary, Canada and Japanese in Tokyo, Japan.

In 2024, I completed Andrew Ng’s Machine Learning course on Coursera, which laid the foundation for my work in AI-based legal and financial analysis tools.

Technical Interests

Beyond building products, I’m especially drawn to the principles that shape great software and teams. My key areas of interest include:

  • LLMs & AI Systems: RAG, fine-tuning, LangChain, prompt engineering, agent-based architectures.
  • Financial Data Analysis & Value Investing Tools: Automating the interpretation of financial statements using AI to support investment decisions.
  • Full-Stack Development & SDK Architecture: iOS/Android apps, frontend frameworks (React), backend systems (FastAPI, Golang, Spring Boot), modular SDKs.
  • Agile Development & Team Practices: Hands-on experience introducing Scrum, facilitating communication across PMs, UI/UX, QA, and dev teams.
  • Software Design & Code Quality: Deep interest in SOLID principles, TDD, design patterns, and clean architecture.
